Customer Review :
outstanding tool : Scotts Classic Sharpening Kit - Reel Mower
This reel mower sharpening kit is very easy to use, and works a treat to bring a sharp edge to blades.
That said, I found that adjusting the backstop/bottom blade was not easy for me, as a mechanically challenged person. Blades must be adjusted to correct alignment for cutting grass, and to install the sharpening tool.
This sharpener kit is manufactured in England. The company ships directly only to the UK and Europe, so instructions are not targeted to our US mowers -- probably more than adequate for your average mechanical engineer, but for me, not so much.

Another excellent source of information about the mechanics of it all

In fact, for my mower, blade position adjustment was probably more an issue than the sharpness of the blades to restore cutting capability. Scotts has the mower manual online. Use the Scotts (or your manufacturer) source instead of the information found on another prominent Website, which had clearly pasted from the manual but actually got the tighten/loosen instructions backwards.
Summary: be sure to understand the levering and screw adjustment mechanics of it all before installing and using this sharpener kit. The actual installation really is about a five minute job, and two or three minutes of pushing gives your mower blades a shiny, sharp edge.
